How I Turned 1 Subscriber into 100 (Without Paid Ads)

My first subscriber was me.

I signed up using my second email — just to see if it worked.

Then came the second. Then the fifth. Then the 100th.

Step 1: I Asked for Feedback (Not Just Shares)

I didn’t say “Share this with your friends.”

I said: “What’s one thing you wish I’d write about?”

Step 2: I Added a “P.S.” to Every Email

At the end of every email, I wrote:

12 people replied. I thanked each one personally. 8 of them shared my site.

Step 3: I Created a “Subscriber-Only” Post

I wrote a post: “The Truth About Hustling in Kenya (Subscriber-Only)”

I linked to it in my newsletter: “This is just for you — not on the blog.”

People felt special. 23 new subscribers in 3 days.
