You sent the email.
You waited.
Silence.
It’s not your idea.
It’s not your offer.
It’s your opening line.
Starting with:
“I hope this email finds you well.”
“My name is… and I’m reaching out because…”
“I’d love to work with you.”
❌ These put the burden on *them* to figure out: “Why should I care? What’s in it for me?”
Here’s the exact structure I use — and it gets 80%+ reply rates:
Sentence 1 (Recognition): “I saw your post about [specific thing] — especially how you mentioned [detail].”
Sentence 2 (Value Bridge): “That reminded me of a client who faced [similar challenge] — and how we solved it with [brief result].”
Sentence 3 (Tiny Ask): “Would 2 minutes on WhatsApp to share how we did it be helpful?”
Subject: Quick thought on your CV workshop
Body:
Hi [Name],
I saw your WhatsApp update about the free CV workshop in Kibera — especially how you’re focusing on youth with no formal work history.
That reminded me of a student I helped last month: zero experience, but we turned her church volunteer work into a standout story — she got 3 interviews in 2 weeks.
Would 2 minutes on WhatsApp to share the 3-sentence framework we used be helpful?
Either way — keep going. What you’re doing matters.

✅ She replied in 17 minutes: “Yes please — can we talk today?”
